Malahide:  2 Kingfishers on the river at Malahide Estuary today.MH

Booterstown nature reserve:   excellent views of a hunting Sparrowhawk (fm), Kestrel, Greenshanks, Little Egrets, Wren, Coots, Moorhens, Robin, Blackbirds, Starlings, Mute Swan & cygnets, Curlews, Swallows, Dunnock, Teal, Mallard, Little Grebe, Jackdaws, Grey Herons, Sanderlings, Dunlin, Bar-tailed Godwit, Redshank, Black-headed Gull, Sandwich Tern, Woodpigeon and a very obliging Pied Wagtail. BC

Sandymount Strand @ Merrion gates:   Oystercatcher, Bar-tailed Godwit, Ringed Plover, Curlew, Great Black-backed Gull, Redshank, Common Tern, Herring Gulls, Pied Wagtail family, Dunlin and Sanderling. BC

Irishtown nature reserve:  walking out as far as Poolbeg Lighthouse overlooking Dublin Bay with terrific close views of 200+ Turnstone, 250+ Dunlin, 100+ Sanderling, also Common Tern, Black-headed Gull, Great Black-backed Gull, Herring Gulls, Hooded Crows, Cormorants, Shags, Black Guillemot, Goldfinch, Linnet, Collared Dove, Pied Wagtail and Rock Pipit. We met another birder that sighted an Arctic Skua along the pier overlooking Sandymount.BC

Tolka River Valley Park:  Morning walk, watched a pair of Buzzards keeping a close eye on two juveniles been harassed by the Magpies close to their nesting site, looks like the juvs had yellow tags on them. BC

Tolka River Valley Park:  Out for a walk today along the Tolka River Valley Park about 3pm - lots of stuff out starting to feed with lots of juveniles about, amongst them 3 Curlew, Sparrowhawk, Kingfisher, Bullfinch, Long-tailed Tit and the biggest Rat that crossed my path EVER . . . made me jump when sighting it 8ft away. BC
