Broadmeadows: terrific views of the juvenile Ruff at Broadmeadow Estuary - it never stood still for a moment while busily feeding in the shallows during my one hour lunch break.  Also feeding around where lots of Black-headed Gulls, Curlew, Pied Wagtails, Oystercatchers, Redshank, Greenshank, Common Sandpipers, Black-tailed Godwits, Starlings, Grey Herons, Dunlin, Peregrine, Ringed Plovers and a single Wheatear.BC, TC & CC

Finglas:  While out walking the dog at Tolka park Finglas watched a Sparrowhawk dive repeatedly at a couple of Mandarin chicks in the pond. Would not surprise me if the Sparrowhawk had already been successful over the past few days considering there were only 2 chicks, about a week old, with the female, it's second brood this year.BC

Gormanstown:  Terns, Gulls and Waders at Gormanstown Beach. Common, Arctic, Roseate and Little Terns all present along with some juveniles. It's possible to get good views of the terns with a 'scope, giving an opportunity to note the differences between the species. Also Oystercatcher, Curlew, Bar-tailed Godwit, Greenshank, Knot, Dunlin, Sanderling and Ringed Plover.  Also a few Mediterranean Gulls, GF&EK
